Hello, hello! Anna Wight here with a bit of Sizzix Inspiration for you. I don't know about you, but it seems like everyone around me, including me, has a bit of a wintery head or chest cold. It seems like the perfect time to brew up (ha!) some yummy tea gifts for those in need of a warm pick-me-up.
The Make It 3-D Box and Sugar Bowl & Creamer dies made it quick and easy to make pretty boxes to tuck in a few tea bags. I added a few cough drops in the box as well, for added TLC. These Scoreboards dies are really fun to use. They allow you to create unique boxes using Sizzix Mat Board which you can cover in your favorite scrapbook papers. Just sandwich your material and die between a pair of Standard Cutting Pads and put it through your Sizzix Big Shot machine.
To create my pitcher, I chose white Sizzix Mat Board and beautiful floral patterned paper from the Lucky Charm series by American Crafts. Wouldn't this be a lovely pitcher to use, for real milk and tea? Once the pieces were die cut, I lightly inked the edges and adhered the pieces together to create the 3-D pitcher. I pulled various mulberry paper flowers from my stash in complimentary colors to the patterned paper, and created a grouping of flowers to embellish the pitcher.
As luck would have it, I had a few extra die cut Susan's Garden Cosmo petal shapes cut from pretty American Crafts glitter paper left over from another project. They added a perfect bit of sparkle, along with the suggestion of a leaf, to the flower grouping.
To create the tag, I die cut white card stock using one of the label shapes from the Labels Thinlits set, from Tim Holtz. I used the Homemade Alphabet Thinlits die to die cut the letters T E A. Thinlits are very easy to use! Layer your card stock and Thinlit die between a pair of Standard Cutting Pads and the Magnetic Platform, and put it through your Sizzix Big Shot machine. Once the pieces were die cut, I lightly inked the edges, adhered the letters in place, punched a hole with a small paper punch and added a quick string to the tag. Stardust Stickles glitter glue adds a beautiful sparkle to the letters, and mimics the glitz of the flower cluster leaves.
Finally, I added a few tea bags and cough drops to the box and added a small get well note to the back of the tag. I hope this little gift delivers comfort, and smiles!
Thanks for joining me today! I hope you are inspired!
