Hello, hello! Anna Wight here with a bit of Sizzix Inspiration for you. This card would be perfect for sending to that long-distance friend you wish lived closer. I have several of those, and I bet you do, too!
I used Stephanie Ackerman's Houses Originals die to create my card.
Start by die cutting the Sizzix Houses Originals die as many times as needed from printed card stock, to give you variety in prints for your houses and roofs. I chose patterned paper from K&Company for my houses and hearts. Just sandwich your paper and the die between a pair of Standard Cutting Pads and put it through your Sizzix Big Shot machine.
Prepare your card base by inking the edges and adding faux stitching lines to the edges using the tracing wheel (doodled lines would also be cute around the edges of the card, if you do not have a tracing wheel). I used a postage stamp from Inkadinkado and randomly stamped the image on the card in Distress Ink.
Ink the edges of your die cut shapes and adhere them into place on your card. You can use dimensional adhesive for the hearts, to add a nice visual detail to your card. Using a fine tipped marker, doodle around the edges of the shapes to give them a bit more character.
This card was quick and easy to create, and I look forward to popping it in the mail to one of my long-distance friends, who I wish lived closer.
Thanks for joining me today! I hope you are inspired!
