Hello Everyone! Leica here to share a little Sizzix Inspiration with you.
I love creating layouts. I love even more, using a little mixed media techniques on them as well. I was super excited when I received this super HUGE tag - Sizzix Bigz L Die Tag. It is nice and big!! First I cut the tag and then I embossed part of it with Sizzix Texture Fades Embossing Folders Courtyard & Trellis Set. When cutting these dies in the Big Shot all you need is a pair of Standard Cutting Pads. Make a sandwich with your die and paper between the cutting pads and roll them through your Sizzix Big Shot machine. The same applies for embossing folders, however, you would place the sandwich on top of the Extended Multipurpose Platform, open to tab 1. I sprayed only the embossed part of the tag with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Verdigris. Let dry completely before you do anything with the tag. It most likely will curl a bit, but usually flattens back out. If you are worried, weight down the corners till it is dry. Then I inked the edges with Colorbox ink in Dark Brown.
Now let's decorate this tag with Sizzix Bigz Die French Bow and Sizzix Bigz Die Tattered Florals. I ADORE this die. I use it or presents, gift bags, and layouts. Even when the layout flattens out in the album it still looks like a bow! Use the same sandwich mentioned above for the Bigz L die for both of these dies.
Add some final touches, journaling, and you are done!
Here's a closeup of the flowers.
