Sizzix Embossing Experiments with Designer Jennifer Ogborn!

Hello! Sizzix Designer Jennifer Ogborn here to show you some creative experiments using my Winter Pattern 665972 Embossing folder!

Embossing is not something I do very often, so this was an educational process for me, but a nice way to experiment with some different techniques.

Let's start with something relatively straightforward - embossing some opulent card stock.
I chose the shimmery ivory coloured card from the Sizzix Opulent Cardstock Pack (664535), and passed this through the Big Shot machine (660200), making sure to spray the cardstock with water before doing so. I then used our Sizzix Heat Tool (663386) to quickly dry it.

TIP - Spraying the cardstock with water beforehand makes sure that it picks up every detail of the Embossing folder without tearing!

Using some foliage elements from Festive Envelope (665946) and a seasonal sentiment, we have made a quick and simple wintery card!

Moving on to my next make, I wanted to experiment with some Sizzix Luster Wax!

I chose a deep green from the Festive Cardstock (663783) range, and again sprayed the card thoroughly before running it through the Big Shot machine.
Once dried, I picked the Gold Luster Wax (664809) and, using circular motions, I rubbed the wax lightly over the embossed design.

The gold wax really highlighted the embossed detail!
A pop of red from the poinsettia Thinlits Die from Festive Envelope (665946), and we have my second card!

Following this project, I wanted to see how smaller, embossed die cut pieces would look.

Using one of the shapes from Stacked Tiles, Triangles (664748), I ran it through the Big Shot machine with the Winter Pattern emboss folder.

Using the same process as the previous card, I rubbed on Luster Wax to pick out the embossed details. I then made a tiny trunk for the Christmas Tree with some brown card, and decorated it with a gold star from Sequins and Beads, Gold (663864).

To complete the make, a sentiment was added onto the banner from Vintage Corners (665941).

And there we have it! Three festive cards using my Winter Pattern emboss folder.
