Notes
- Finished Size: 34 1/2" x 42 1/2"
- All seam allowances are 1/4" unless noted.
Piecing the Quilt
- Iron crown die-cut shapes and embellishments onto white on white print 8 1/2" squares. Stitch around crown and embellishments.
- Iron fleur de lis die-cut shapes onto white on white print 5" squares. Stitch around fleur de lis.
- Row 1: sew a princess fabric to a white on white print fabric (with crown) then another princess fabric.
- Row 2: sew a white on white print fabric (with crown), then princess fabric, then white on white print fabric (with crown).
- Row 3: Repeat steps from row one.
- Row 4: Repeat steps from row four.
- Sew rows together.
- Sew sides of the hot pink 1 1/2" borders first, then top and bottom strips.
- Sew sides of the stripe print 5" border first.
- Sew white on white print fabric (with fleur de lis) corners onto the top and bottom stripe print border strips.
- Sew the top and bottom stripe print border strips to the quilt.
Finishing
- Layer the backing, batting and quilt top. Quilt by hand or machine, as desired.
- Sew binding strips together to form one long strip approximately 168". Fold wrong sides together lengthwise and press.
- With a 1/4" seam, sew the raw edges of the binding to the edges of the right side of the quilt. Turn the folded edge of the binding to the back side of the quilt and stitch in place by hand, mitering the corners.
