Turkey Place Cards

Celebrate Fall or Thanksgiving with a stand-up Turkey place card.

Adhesive, Cardstock or construction paper, Crayons, colored markers or pens, Letter stickers, Scissors, White pen

The teacher will die-cut the materials for student use prior to the lesson.

  1. Fold a 12" long sheet of brown cardstock or construction paper in half and then fold down 3/4" again.
  2. Open the folded paper and reverse one mountain fold into a valley fold to create one accordion pleat in the middle of the paper.
  3. Place the folded paper just inside the blade of the Turkey feet and die-cut.
  4. Die-cut two beaks, wattles and feet using orange scrap paper to embellish the front and back of the Turkey.
  5. Color the wattle with red crayon, marker or pen.
  6. Trim along the beak and wattle perforations. Trim along the Turkey feet.
  7. Adhere the beaks, wattles and feet to the front and back of the Turkey.
  8. Use a white pen or crayon to add details on the feathers of the Turkey.
  9. Attach a student name to the Turkey with letter stickers, or hand print the student name.
  10. Open the fold at the Turkey feet to stand up the Turkey place card (Main Photo).
