Subway Tiles Wall Hanging

Fabric Requirements:

Notes:

• Finished Size: 18" x 23"
• All seam allowances are 1/4" unless noted.
• WOF = width of fabric

Piecing the Project:

1. Sew (54) 1" x 2" Strips to the 2" side of (54) Rectangles.
2. Sew (6) 1" x 2" Strips to (6) 2" Squares.
3. Sew (23) rows in this order:
   
   • Row 1: (5) Rectangles and (1) Square
   • Row 2: (1) 1" x 23" Strip
   • Row 3: (1) Square and (5) Rectangles
   • Row 4: (1) 1" x 23" Strip
4. Sew (1) 1" x 23" Strip to the top of the wall hanging.

Finishing:

1. Layer the backing and wall hanging right sides together.
2. Lay 23" x 27" batting on quilt top.
3. Stitch around the perimeter leaving a 6" opening.
4. Trim excess batting. Turn right side out.
5. Hand stitch opening closed. Press.
6. Quilt as desired.
