Stars & Stripes Pillow

Fabric Requirements:

Notes:

• Finished Size: 14" x 28"
• All seam allowances are 1/4" unless noted.
• * = Adhere fusible adhesive to back of fabric before die-cutting the shapes.

Piecing the Project:

1. As seen in photo, alternate the red and white strips and sew together.
2. Arrange the Stars in a pleasing manner and heat fuse in place onto blue fabric.
3. Stitch around Stars if desired.
4. With right sides together, stitch the blue fabric to the red and white strips on the 14 1/2" side.

Finishing:

1. Layer the batting and pillow top. Quilt by hand or machine, as desired.
2. Layer the pillow top and pillow back, right sides together. Pin and sew with 1/2" seam allowance, leaving an opening approximately 6" long.
3. Clip excess fabric in the corners on the diagonal. Turn right side out, stuff to desired loft and whipstitch closed.
