Fan Blade Pillow

Fabric Requirements:

Notes:

• Finished Size: 16" x 16"
• All seam allowances are 1/4" unless noted.

Piecing the Project:

1. For each wheel, sew three Fan Blades together alternating colors as shown in photo. Make four sets.
2. Sew the three Fan Blades to one Fan Background. Make four sets.
3. Sew the four Fan Blades/Backgrounds sets together to make a wheel.
4. Sew a 3/4" Circle to the middle of the wheel using a zigzag stitch.
5. Repeat steps 1-4 to make four wheels.
6. Sew the wheels together as shown in photo.

Finishing:

1. Layer the batting and pillow top. Quilt by hand or machine, as desired.
2. Layer the pillow top and pillow back, right sides together. Pin and sew with 1/2" seam allowance, leaving an opening approximately 6" long to insert pillow form.
3. Clip excess fabric in the corners on the diagonal. Turn right-side out, insert the pillow form and whipstitch closed.
