Project #17924

It’s as fresh as it gets! For the sweetest birthday cards or celebration invitations, just follow this easy recipe for a delicious departure from the ordinary. The personalization possibilities are the icing on the cake.

Other Supplies:

  • Cardstock
  • Patterned Paper
  • Adhesive
  • Adhesive Foam
  • Ink
  • Stamp
  • Twine

  1. For the card base, fold a 6" x 12" cardstock rectangle in half so you have a 6" x 6" square. Make a Sizzix sandwich, place the die so it extends just over the fold in the 6" x 6" square and roll through the machine at least twice to die-cut. For ease of use, we recommend using the Magnetic Platform to hold the Framelits die in place while the shape is being cut.
  2. Die-cut the cupcake wrapper out of cardstock. Apply ink to the same color cardstock, and adhere behind the cupcake wrapper die-cut to show dimension. Adhere to the card base.
  3. Die-cut the frosting, cherry and stem out of cardstock. Adhere different colored cardstock behind the holes in the frosting. Adhere the cherry and stem to the frosting. Adhere the frosting to the card front using adhesive foam to give dimension.
  4. Embellish with a twine bow and a stamped sentiment.
