  1. Die-cut an 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of pink cardstock, and fold it in half to create a card base.
  2. Die-cut 10 scallop edges from the Scallops & Zigzags set out of a variety of cardstock and patterned paper. Cut a 5 1/4" x 4" piece of white cardstock. Layer and adhere the scalloped edges to the white cardstock with double-sided tape.
  3. Die-cut out of yellow cardstock a large circle from the Take the Cake set. Die-cut out of white cardstock a smaller circle from the same set. Adhere the small circle to the large circle with adhesive foam tape. Adhere the layered circle to the right side of the card front over the layered edges with double-sided tape.
  4. Using a black ink pad, stamp the cake and candles from the Take the Cake set onto white cardstock. Align the corresponding Framelits dies over the stamped images, and die-cut. For ease of use, we recommend using the Magnetic Platform to hold the Framelits dies in place while the shapes are being cut.
  5. Die-cut out of blue and pink cardstock and patterned paper the layers of cake icing. Layer and adhere the icing and candles to the die-cut cake with double-sided tape. With coordinating markers, color the candles and cake. Adhere the cake to the center of the layered circle on the card front with adhesive foam tape.
  6. Using a black ink pad, stamp the Don’t Count the Candles phrase onto white cardstock. Align the corresponding Framelits die over the stamped phrase, and die-cut. For ease of use, we recommend using the Magnetic Platform to hold the Framelits die in place while the shape is being cut.
  7. Adhere the phrase to the left side of the cake on the layered circle with double-sided tape.
  8. Tie a green ribbon around the top of the card front, and tie it into a bow.
  9. Adhere an enamel dot to the center of the bow with hot glue.
