Other Supplies:

• Cardstock (Brown, Red, White, Yellow)
• Patterned Paper
• Blank Canvas (4 1/4" x 4 1/4")
• Double-Sided Tape or Tape Runner
• Modeling Paste
• Paint (Black, Pink, White)
• Paintbrush
• Paper Trimmer
• Ranger Distress Ink (Vintage Photo) by Tim Holtz
• Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool
• Scissors
• Spatula
• Washi Tape

1. Paint the canvas with black paint. Allow the canvas to dry.
2. Using a stiff paintbrush, wipe across the canvas with white paint and then with pink paint.
3. Cut a 3" x 2 1/4" piece of patterned paper. Using the Mini Ink Blending Tool, add Distress Ink (Vintage Photo) around the edges.
4. Adhere the patterned paper to the bottom left side of the canvas with double-sided tape.
5. Die-cut out of white cardstock the numbers with the star from the Mixed Media #6 set to create a stencil.
6. Cut off the star from the numbers.
7. Lay the numbers stencil on the bottom left side of the canvas. Hold the stencil in place with washi tape so it will not move.
8. Using a spatula, lightly brush modeling paste over the numbers.
9. Lift the stencil, and allow the numbers to dry for at least one hour before returning to the project.
10. Lay the star stencil on top of the patterned paper on the canvas. Hold the stencil in place with washi tape so it will not move. Using a spatula, lightly brush modeling paste over the star.
11. Lift the stencil, and allow the star to dry for at least one hour.
12. Die-cut out of red cardstock three stars from the Mixed Media #6 set. Using the Mini Ink Blending Tool, add Distress Ink (Vintage Photo) around the edges of the stars.
13. Adhere the stars to the upper right side of the canvas in a row with liquid adhesive.
14. Die-cut out of yellow, red and brown cardstock the word Explore from the Shadow Script #3 set. Using the Mini Ink Blending Tool, add Distress Ink (Vintage Photo) around the edges of each word.
15. Cut off the letters e and x from the brown word. Adhere the brown word to the bottom left side of the canvas with liquid adhesive.
16. Adhere with liquid adhesive the red word to the center of the canvas above the brown cutoff word.
17. Adhere with liquid adhesive the yellow word to the top of the canvas above the red word.
