Notes:
- Finished Size: 7" x 8 1/2"
- All seam allowances are 1/4" unless noted.
Assembling the Santa Softie:
- Place four sets of arms/legs together, and stitch around the outer edges.
- Stitch the skin to the body and the hair to the body. Note: Hair and skin should be 2 1/4" in height once sewn. Sew the straight edge of the hat to the top of the hair or skin.
- Arrange the beard onto the front of the Santa, and sew the curved bottom of the beard (the sides will be sewn later). Sew the inner curve of the beard as well.
- Arrange and sew the eyes, nose, belt, buckle and hat trim onto the corresponding body piece.
- Place the back body face down on your work table. Arrange and pin the arms and legs onto the body. Place the front body right side up on top and pin. Sew around the outer body, and before getting to the end, fill the body with polyester fiberfill and continue the stitching.
- Place the two hat pom-poms (circles) together, and insert the tip of the hat between the two layers. Sew around the outer edge of the pom-pom.
Assembling the Elf Softie:
- Place four sets of arms/legs together, and stitch around the outer edges.
- Center the inner ear on the ear and stitch in place. Repeat for the second ear, making sure it is reversed. Stitch the front and back ears together.
- Stitch the skin to the body for the front and back. Note: Skin should be 2 1/4" in height once sewn. Sew the straight edge of the hats to the top of the skin.
- Arrange and sew the eyes, cheeks and buttons onto the front body piece.
- Place the hat trim onto the body piece. Before stitching, tuck five triangles under the top of the band. Be sure the bottom of the triangles are sewn when stitching on the hat trim.
- Place the back body face down on your work table. Arrange and pin the arms, legs and ears onto the body. Place the front body right side up on top and pin. Sew around the outer body. Before getting to the end, fill the body with polyester fiberfill and continue the stitching.
- Place the two hat pom-poms (circles) together, and insert the tip of the hat between the two layers. Sew around the outer edge of the pom-pom.
Assembling the Reindeer Softie:
- Place four sets of arms/legs together, and stitch around the outer edges.
- Center the inner ear on the ear and stitch in place. Repeat for the second ear, making sure it is reversed. Stitch the front and back ears together.
- Place two sets of antlers together and stitch around the outer edges.
- Arrange and sew the eyes, nose, collar and bells onto the corresponding body piece.
- Place the back body face down on your work table. Arrange and pin the arms, legs, antlers and ears onto the body. Place the front body right side up on top and pin. Sew around the outer body. Before getting to the end, fill the body with polyester fiberfill, and continue the stitching.
