Hello friends! It is Anna-Karin here with my 15 Days of Inspiration Celebration Colorful Life Layout. I can't believe it is already July and I made a summery layout with fun products by Doodlebug.
I've taken a lot of cute photos of the two brothers together, since the birth of my youngest son, and I wanted to scrap some of them. I used the cheerful Hello Sunshine paper pack by Doodlebug, as well as two die and stamp sets: A Little Birdy Told Me and Notebook Paper, Tag & Ticket; and two embossing folders: Tiny Daisies and Woodgrain #3.
The background was done by embossing watercolour paper in the Tiny Daisies and Woodgrain #3 folders. Use this sandwich: Sizzix Multipurpose Platform Tab 1, Cutting Pad, embossing folder with paper inside, second Cutting Pad into the Sizzix Big Shot Machine. I misted the papers with water and sprinkled Yellow and Cobalt Blue Brusho crystals on top. After misting even more water, I had the look I wanted. The edges of the panels were distressed and I stitched the panels to the background patterned paper.
I really liked this Sentiment Sticker and used it as my title ('colorful'). The clouds were cut out from one of the patterned papers.
I have a thing for notebook paper and cut two large ones out of the patterned paper. They were layered on top of each other. The cute little tag was die cut and stamped with the Notebook Paper, Tag & Ticket set, and I added some fun Word Tag Stickers and Bright Glitter Sprinkles epoxy stickers on top.
I love birds and the A Little Birdy Told Me set is so cute. The birds were stamped with Jet Black ink and die cut with the coordinating die, using the Sizzix Magnetic Platform, which holds the die and paper in place. Use this sandwich: Magnetic Platform, Cutting Pad, paper, die facing down, second Cutting Pad.
I coloured the birds with Brusho's mixed with water. You only need to add a few crystals to warm water to create watercolour paint. The Notebook Paper and Tickets were die cut from white paper and stamped with the coordinating stamps, using both black and coloured inks. I layered three notebook papers on top of each other and stapled to create a place for my journaling.
The birds in the nest were done in the same way as the other two birds. These dies, stamps, embossing folders and papers would also be great to use for cheerful summer cards.
