I am so excited to be on the 2018-2019 Sizzix Blog team. I am new to Sizzix and this is the first project I made with the Sizzix Big Shot. It is such a fast and easy project!
Since I have four daughters, I am always needing new hair bows. With the summer holidays coming up, I thought it would be perfect to get the baby some new hair bows. Amazingly, I had these all assembled in 5 minutes. It's so fast and easy to do!
First, you gather your supplies. I am using the Big Shot Plus, but any machine will work. Next, pick your favorite color of felt (or 5 or 6!). The die I will be using is the Bow Die (658541). I am also using glue and hair clips.
The most important thing to do is make what we like to call a "Sizzix sandwich," consisting of the cutting pads, the die and the fabric to be cut. Using the sandwich, I was able to cut 4 layers of felt at one time. These cut like a breeze! I will be using the small bow, but save the other cut pieces for a future project.
I use E6000 for adhesive. It is the strongest glue I have found. I also use hot glue. You can decide which one works best for you.
Next, glue the sides of the bow to the center. Place the glued portion onto the bottom portion of the bow.
Wrap the center piece around the bow. Glue one end to the other. This creates a loop that you can slide the bow clip into.
And repeat! I made a bunch of new hair bows that will be perfect for the summer. Now the baby has a bow to match every outfit!
Isn't she a sweet little fire cracker?
Now go and make a 5-minute bow!
THANKS FOR SHARING & THE BOWS ARE PERFECT !
