Craft a Card filled with Love & Lace!
Using Sizzix Dies & Making Essentials, making a Card filled with Love & Lace with a lace card base and a choice of sentiments included - you can send love, celebrate or give thanks, with just the quick placement of a die.
I've loved cards my entire life! To the point where I'd have butterflies in my stomach when I was little just being in a card shop with my mom! Making my own cards, the butterflies were whirling and still are! All grown up and a part of the Sizzix design team, where I make cards daily, it doesn't get any better than this and I've loved making this card!
What you need to craft a Sizzix Love & Lace Card:
Sizzix Big Shot Machine (670200)
Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 11PK - Lace Card Base (665474)
Sizzix Making Essential - Adhesive Sheets, 6 x 6, Permanent, 10 Sheets (656802)
Sizzix Making Essential - Express Glue, 120ml (664576)
Sizzix Making Essential - Permanent Adhesive Roller (663474)
Sizzix Making Essential - Makers Tape, 2PK (663473)
Sizzix Surfacez - Cardstock, 8 1/4 x 11 5/8, 10 Botanical Colors, 60 sheets (665276)
Sizzix - Small Scissors (664818)
How to make:
Place the Sizzix Lace Card Base Thinlits Set, blade side down. Center smaller rectangle Framelit, blade side down, inside card base, along lace. Place desired sentiment blade side down at left corner of rectangle Framelit. Secure dies in place with the Sizzix Makers Tape.
Die-cut out of Nightfall blue cardstock from Botanical assortment, the Lace Card Base, out of the Eucalyptus color cardstock, die-cut the lacy half of the card base. Trim at scoreline. Die-cut out of Cotton Cream color cardstock, the larger rectangle Framelit.
Die-cut out of Rust, Dusty Rose and Cotton Cream color Cardstock, the flowers, flower centers and out of Eucalyptus, Fern and Moss color Cardstock, the leafy branches. Adhere an Adhesive Sheet on smooth side of Fern color cardstock. Die-cut sentiment with blade against cardstock side. Trim off edges.
With Sizzix Permanent Adhesive Roller, adhere Cotton Cream rectangle diecut evenly on underside of window opening and the Eucalyptus lacy diecut under card front, dropping it down a bit to expose the lighter color under the Nightfall lacy edge. Peel off Adhesive Sheet backing to adhere sentiment letters/words in the contrasting color. Arrange flowers as desired with flower centers and leafy branches. Adhere with Express Glue. Fold card on scoreline.
