Hi everyone, Mou here with today's Sizzix Inspiration!
If you are like me, creating masculine cards is a bit harder than most other things, especially because when I buy products, I tend to gravitate toward the florals and other pretty things. But it is possible to use those products in a more masculine way with the help of Sizzix dies. Let me show you what I mean.
Here's a card that I made with a Life Made Simple die with floral papers and pink and orange Gelatos.
And now, let me walk you through the simple steps.
First of all, die cut cream cardstock using 'I Will Love You Forever & A Day' die from the Life Made Simple line using the Big Shot machine, a pair of cutting pads, that come standard with the machine, and the Magnetic Platform.
Mix in some pink and orange Gelatos in white texture paste to make a colored paste. You could also use other kinds of paints to color your paste. Lay the card on a craft mat or another nonstick surface. With palette knife, apply paste over the die cut card. Lift off from the craft mat and let it dry.
Cut strips of scrap patterned papers keeping in blue or another masculine color. Mine are still floral and botanical prints. Apply adhesive to the back of the die cut card and attach the strips so that the patterns peek through the front.
Fold patterned cardstock to make a 6" x 4.5" card. Attach the die cut card in the front keeping to the center. Attach a strip of black and white floral paper to the right. Machine stitch to accent the card.
