Love is in the air!
What are you doing to get ready for Valentine's? Just yesterday the kids and I started planning and preparing what we were going to do this year! This past weekend I was on a roll for creating layouts. My first passion has always been scrapbook layouts. They are truly what I will keep forever, so I always keep coming back to the process of sharing our story.
This weekend, I created a layout of my husband. Love that dude!
When I create, I love using bright, bold colours with contrasting colours. Pink always screams love, Valentine's Day to me. So I thought I would pair turquoise, fuchsia and gold together. When I combine patterned papers, I like to mix patterns with a colic, a strong pattern and a subtle one. I cut out many different sizes of hearts using the Sizzix Bigz Die - Heartfelt. Some of them I sanded the edges. Don't sand too many or they will all blend into each other. Sand a few to make the heart border pop. The gold paper I am using is very soft, and not a huge contrast, it lets your eye flow all over the page.
Sometimes, you really just don't need a lot of explanation for a photo. So having the title "Be Mine" and one strip of journaling is enough. This die Sizzix Bigz Die - Phrase, Be Mine is really pretty, it comes with hearts as well.
Thanks for checking it out!
