Hi all! Tami Mayberry from Create it Simply here with you today to share my latest Sizzix creation. My son is getting married this Fall so when I saw the new David Tutera collection, I was excited to see what it was all about.

For this particular project I used the following products to create coordinating table decor:

Other Materials Used:

  • Cardstock: aqua, white
  • Vellum
  • White cupcake liners
  • Self-adhesive rhinestones
  • Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® EZ Runner Ultra

For all of these dies I used the Big Shot Plus with a sandwich of the Extended Magnetic Platform, a Extended Cutting Pad,  cardstock, desired die (cutting side down), and, finally, the second Extended Cutting Pad.

Now let me show you just how quick and easy it is to make! I'll begin with the centerpiece of the project, the Lantern.

Begin by die-cutting the four panels for the sides of the lantern.

Adhere the panels end-to-end as shown above.

Cut vellum slightly smaller than the openings and adhere to the back of each panel, this will be the inside of the finished project.

Bring the ends together and adhere in place to form the lantern. Next, notice there are die-cut flower outlines. This is where you will place the flower layers.

Die-cut two flowers for each lantern panel. Notice in the photo above there is a slit in each flower. This will enable you to easily attach the flowers to the lantern.

Referring to the photo above, slip the die-cut flowers onto the panels and attach rhinestones to the centers. That's all there is to it!

Next, we will create the treat cup. It consists of one simple die that loops into a cupcake wrapper.  I used it for a treat cup but if serving cupcakes, you can obviously use this as the intended cupcake wrapper as well!

Place a cupcake liner in the center and fill with treats.

Simply die-cut and fold along the score lines and secure in place with a tab that is inserted into a slot in the same manner as the cupcake wrapper. Like the lantern, there are die-cut flowers in which you slip the slits around the base design.

I used the tent as a table number marker but it could also be used to mark other areas such as place cards or food items.

As you can see, these dies and the additional products available in the David Tutera collection perfectly coordinate to make your special day a super easy creative success!!
