DIY Last-Minute Gifts for Christmas!

Hi, its Jen Belnap from The Smitten Chicken. Welcome to the most wonderful (and stressful) time of the year!  I love to make homemade gifts, but I quickly run out of time with the giant list of people we want to do something nice for. From my kids’ teachers and neighbors to my co-workers and more…you get the idea. I’m here to share a quick way to spread some homemade holiday love with those on your list.

First, you will make your Sizzix sandwich: Cutting Pad, Snowflake die, stiff felt and Cutting Pad. Since the stiff felt is heavier than normal felt, I only did one sheet at a time.  Cut as many snowflakes as you need!

Cut a short length of Baker’s Twine. Leave enough of a loop so it can hang as an ornament on a tree.  Using the hot glue gun, put a small line of glue (about an inch) at the top of the Snowflake. Place both ends of the Baker’s Twine on the Snowflake.  Let the glue dry.

And you are done! I loaded up a bunch of plates of goodies. The snowflake ornament is the perfect topper! Now I can share a little bit of holiday handmade with those we love!

Thanks for following along with me!  If you would like to see more of my fabric adventures, you can follow along on my blog, Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest.

Chirp Out!

Jen
