Easy Christmas Gift Tag Ideas!

Hi there, it's Laura from Make Life Lovely, and today I'm sharing a simple tutorial for creating gorgeous Christmas gift tags!

The new Lynda Kanase Framelits die sets are perfect for making gift tags, as well as decorating those cute Christmas photos you take.

I created a few different designs with some of her new holiday designs, and today I'll show you how to make each one.  I love the traditional red plaid design, so I made these tags to match my red plaid wrapping paper.  Feel free to experiment with paper colors, designs, ink colors, etc. to create your own masterpiece!

Naughty Or Nice Bow

Other Materials Used:

  • Black ink
  • Silver ink
  • White paper
  • Plaid wrapping paper

Cut the larger tag from the Glory to the King set out of white paper using your Sizzix Big Shot.

Cut a small bow out of plaid wrapping paper.

To do this make a Sizzix sandwich with your magnetic platform, a cutting pad, the paper, the tag die, then the second cutting pad.  Roll it all through the machine.

Stamp the tiny dots on the top and bottom of the tag with silver ink and the tiny dots die.  Stamp the naughty and nice words and checkboxes with black ink in the middle of the tag.

Use the bow stamp to stamp a black bow onto your cut out bow.  Glue on the bow to the top of the tag.

Add the tag to the top of your gift.

For You Gift Tag

Other Materials Used:

  • Black ink
  • Silver ink
  • White paper
  • Plaid wrapping paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Cut the larger tag from the Glory to the King set out of white paper and plaid wrapping paper using your Sizzix Big Shot.  Cut the words "For You" out of white paper.

To do this make a Sizzix sandwich with your magnetic platform, a cutting pad, the paper, the tag die, then the second cutting pad.  Roll it all through the machine.

To assemble the tag, glue the plaid tag onto the white tag to make it thicker.  Cut the top line off the words "For You," then cut before and after each word.

Press the silver ink tag over the words to make them silver, then let dry.

Glue the words onto your tag, then add the tag to the top of your gift.

Reindeer Tag

Other Materials Used:

  • Silver ink
  • White paper
  • Plaid wrapping paper

Cut the larger tag and the smaller tag from the Glory to the King set out of white paper and plaid wrapping paper using your Sizzix Big Shot.

To do this make a Sizzix sandwich with your magnetic platform, a cutting pad, the paper, the tag die, then the second cutting pad.  Roll it all through the machine.

Glue the larger plaid tag onto the larger white paper to make it thicker.  Glue the smaller white tag onto the larger red plaid tag.

Stamp a silver reindeer onto the top of the tag, then stamp the words "to" and "from" underneath using silver ink.
