Hi everyone, Mou here with a Elephant Canvas Nursery Décor for today! I am making a canvas for my baby's room using this adorable Sizzix Bigz L Elephant die by Brenda Walton.
Today, I'm working with felt. You could also use fabric or paper for this project. Let me walk you through the steps.
To diecut the parts of the Elephant, create a Sizzix sandwich: lay felt pieces on the blade side of the Elephant die. Place the die between a pair of Sizzix Accessory Mint Cutting Pads. Pass the whole Sizzix sandwich through the Sizzix Big Shot machine. I have used scraps to cut out the parts of my Elephant. You just have arrange your scraps over the shaped blades of your Sizzix die.
Here are my die cut Elephant parts. The steel rule Sizzix dies like this one easily cut through various materials including felt.
Machine stitch the parts of the Elephant on and also run a stitch along the edges. Adjust to the machine's slowest speed. You could totally hand stitch too.
Here's a look at my machine-stitched Elephant.
Next, use embroidery floss and needle to add some details to your Elephant.
Here I have stitched my baby's name on the banner. You can personalize your banner too.
Embroider some details.
Attach Elephant to the canvas with gel medium to finish.
Hope you enjoyed my Elephant Canvas Nursery Décor and would give this fun Sizzix die a try in your own creations!
