They make terrific teacher's gifts and Mother's Day presents, and can be easily found at the bottom of your handbag!

Choose two colors of felt. Cut two 3 x 3" pieces from each color. Three of these pieces will form the felt 'sandwich' for the key fob and the fourth piece will be the heart decoration on top. Cut three pieces of Pellon® 805 Wonder-Under® slightly smaller than the squares of felt.

Place the rough side of the Wonder-Under® onto three of the felt squares and fuse according to manufacturer's instructions. Allow to cool.

Peel the paper off one of the squares of felt, in this case green which are the front and back layers of the key fob. Place the pink square felt side up on the ironing board. Put the green square on top, Wonder-Under® sticky side down. Fuse with a damp cloth according to manufacturer's instructions. Allow to cool.

Using the Sizzix BigZ die - Circles, place the felt sandwich on top of the largest of the three circles and die cut.

Using the Sizzix BigZ die - Hearts, place the single layer of felt and Wonder-Under® on the smallest of the three hearts and die cut.

You should now have three pieces: One pink heart with Wonder-Under® paper backing still on, one two-layer felt circle with Wonder-Under® paper backing still on, and one circle of plain felt.

Peel the paper backing off the heart. Place the heart Wonder-Under® side down on top of the plain felt circle, making sure to center it on the lower section of the circle to leave room for the hardware to be attached later. Fuse with damp cloth according to manufacturer's instructions. Allow to cool.

Using three strands of embroidery floss, blanket stitch around the heart.

Tie a small knot with the thread ends. The goal here is to avoid lumpiness; this will not show in the finished product. Peel the paper backing off the felt sandwich, align the top felt circle and heart on top of the sandwich and fuse with a damp cloth according to manufacturer's instructions.

Place the felt on a surface such as a cutting mat. Center the key fob hardware on the top of the felt circle and press closed with the rubber handle of a tool such as a screwdriver. Pliers and a piece of scrap felt can also be used, or rubber-tipped pliers that are made expressly for this purpose. Before pressing closed all the way, check position to ensure the hardware hasn't shifted. Add the key ring and keys and you're good to go!
