I wanted to show you all just how cool these Repeat Thinlits are because I think there is a little confusion around how to get the best out of them.
If you look at the image of the die in the top left you will notice that there are three rows of cutting blade, the fourth row on the right contains no blade and this is the row that you use to get perfect register allowing you to repeat the pattern again and again.
I placed the die onto the red card and used a sticky notelet to keep it in place before passing through the Big Shot Machine. Next, I used the fourth row to get perfect registration before again securing with a sticky notelet. I continued this process six times to create a repeating pattern which makes a great background as well as a fabulous mask or stencil, speaking of which...
I used the plaid pattern die to cut a stencil in stencil film before applying Twisted citron Distress Ink through the stencil onto my base card using the blending tool Attachment for the Sizzix Multi-Tool.
After removing the stencil I re-applied it to the card slightly off centre and applied Abandoned Coral Distress Ink. Next, I pressed the Peacock Feathers ink pad onto a craft mat before spritzing with clean water before using a flexible palette knife to flick some of the watered down ink onto the base card.
After applying some random stamping I used one of the fab Circle Words dies to cut the 'wish' aperture sentiment near the base of the card.
The images above offer a little snapshot of some of the cool effects I achieved using the dies to create stencils.
I love these funky and modern cards, they were lots of fun to create and super-quick too!
Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon
