Behind the Scenes of Our DIY Collaboration With Handmade Charlotte

Quirky. Funny. Smart. Excited. Extraordinary. Imaginative. We can't seem to come up with enough words to articulate the amazingness of Handmade Charlotte and its founder Rachel Faucett. But please, take our word for it, if you haven't heard of either, by the end of this post, you'll not only want, but you will NEED to be apart of this side of DIY and crafting.

If you get the chance to meet, and work with, Handmade Charlotte's founder Rachel Faucett, you'll quickly find out that she's "triple cheeseburger serious" about her love and enthusiasm for all things DIY. (And sushi. She loves sushi something fierce.) Starting with an Etsy shop, Rachel was soon sought out by Anthropologie to create a holiday capsule collection, thus beginning the catalyst for epic amazingness. Launching the Handmade Charlotte blog in 2010, Rachel and her team were soon being sought out by HUGE internet names (ranging from Martha Stewart to Babble.com) wanting Handmade Charlotte's fantastic content contributed to their sites.

Soon thereafter, crafting projects for Pottery Barn Kids, Hobby Lobby, Paper Source and the like were designed by Rachel and her team. Taking the world by storm in a way that only a magical unicorn can, Handmade Charlotte has quickly become one of the most renown DIY websites on the internet. From creating flamingo chandeliers, to showing us how to make hilariously fun popsicle art, it seemed almost a given that Sizzix teaming up with Handmade Charlotte needed to happen.

Last month, Rachel and her team came to our Sizzix headquarters and made 4 videos featuring DIY's that they designed specially for use with Sizzix product.

Amid the belly aching laughter and fantastical fun we had shooting, the crafts that we made with Rachel blew our minds. They were full of color, glitter, and yes, even unicorns.  This week, we revealed the first video, in which Rachel shares her super secret technique to perfect gift wrapping. (Drum roll please....)
