Hello, Friends! It's Monika here from Life With Lovebugs with a Hello Flip-its Flower Card. Have you been enjoying your Summer? We have! My two oldest kids are spending their mornings at the Summer day camp the school hosts, which gives me a few hours to get some crafting done. I like to create cards, but don't always have someone specific in mind to give them too. But I can assure you that none of my cards ever go to waste! I keep them in my desk drawer and a situation always seems to come up for each and every one of them.
For this card I and Sizzix Framelits Card, Lively Frame Flip-Its to die cut the card base and the printed overlays. This die set contains 10 pieces, so I used a few pieces to die cut my message backgrounds too. I love these Flip-its cards, they make it so easy to give a unique card! I also used the Sizzix Framelits Die Set Flowers & Fence to die cut a few flower embellishments.
When using my Sizzix Big Shot with these Framelits dies, I used my Magnetic Platform to keep all those little pieces in place. This platform was especially helpful with the printed paper so that I could make sure my print placement was correct. I hate it when my dots are off center!
The Sizzix Framelits Die Set Flowers & Fence also has some great stamps that I used to include a message on the front and inside of the card.
Inside of the card I added this embellishment from the Sizzix Framelits Card, Lively Frame Flip-its set. For this type of piece, that is small and intricate, I used a basic paint brush to apply paper glue. This is a quick and easy way to avoid getting glue all over your fingers.
Here is the outside of the finished card. I love how all of the colors came together!
On the inside here, in additional to the message stamp I also used a few of the flower stamps from the Sizzix Framelits Die Set Flowers & Fence set.
To finish off the card, I tied a small piece of twine around the card. I always love adding this type of detail because then the card become more of a gift.
I hope you enjoyed today’s Hello Flip-its Flower Card, be sure to stop by my blog Life With Lovebugs for recipes, crafts, healthy living posts and more. I'll see you next time!
