Hi all! Tami Mayberry form Create It Simply here with you to share a quick and easy project creating a sweet snowflake card. If you're like me, you probably have friends posting Facebook reminders about how many days are left until Christmas. Or, you might possibly be that friend who can't wait until Christmas. Well, with the continuous reminders it makes one realize that Christmas card making time is just around the corner as well. Today, I have one of those cards to share.
Begin with a 4 1/2 x 11-inch piece of white cardstock. Using your Sizzix Thinlits Mixed Media die set along with Standard Magnetic Platform, cut a pattern from the bottom right corner of the card front. Do this by creating a sandwich of the Magnetic Platform, a Standard Cutting Pad, card base, the Mixed Media die (cutting side down), and, finally, the second Cutting Pad (not shown).
This is what your card front will look like.
Next, use a fine-tip glue pen to adhere a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2-inch piece of light blue cardstock to the inside of the card. This will cover the opening and allow the color to show through on the front of the card.
Stamp the Flurry of Wishes sentiment onto the card front with Soft Sky ink. Stamp a second time, slightly offset, using Night of Navy to give a layered look.
Using the same die-cutting sandwich as before, die-cut two Thinlits Paper Snowflakes from navy and light blue and layer together as shown using foam dots between layers. Embellish card front using self-adhesive rhinestones.
And there you have it!
