Make Your Own Patterned Paper With This Colorful DIY!

Make Your Own Patterned Paper In This Colorful DIY!

Hi all! Jeanne here today with a technique I use often when I want to use a number of stamps at the same time to create a background for a card.

I started with a background made with watercolor pigment powders (Color Burst). I sprinkled a little Color burst onto my watercolor paper and misted with water and let the colors flow.

I put my watercolor background into my MISTI stamp positioner and laid all my stamps from the Sizzix 660632 Bird & Vines Clear stamp set out directly on the paper. When you close the lid all the clear stamps stick to the lid. Ink the stamps (I used turquoise ink) and close the lid.

I had a few bare spots so I stamped a few more images on my background.

I used markers to do a little coloring on the stamps.

I decided I needed a little more texture for my background so embossed it with Texture Fades Quilted.

I die cut  Cake Topper, Hooray using the recommended Sizzix die cutting sandwich for Thinlits and Framelits dies: Sizzix Magnetic Platform (or the Precision Base Plate), Sizzix Cutting Pad, paper, die (cutting side down), Sizzix Cutting Pads. Run this sandwich through your Big Shot machine. Use your Sizzix Die Brush & Foam Pad to get all of the paper bits from your die.  Add twine and attach the phrase to your card.

Hope you enjoyed my project! Have a great day!
