Hello hello, friends! Jennifer Priest here to share a wintery Christmas project with a modern twist. I was influenced by the black and white stripes all around for Halloween right now and created a non-traditional gift set with a handmade card and decorated pillow box using the Sizzix Winter Wishes Collection by Jen Long.
I created the boxes from patterned paper using the Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 7pk - Box, Pillow & Poinsetiias. The beauty of this die set is that you can create pillow boxes from any kind of paper, in any theme, all year long. The resulting pillow boxes are a versatile size, especially handy at Christmas for giving gift cards, money gifts, candies, and jewelry.
The stripes give the boxes a modern feel while the embossed silver cardstock trees and snowflakes created with the Sizzix Bigz Die with Bonus Textured Impressions - Christmas Tree and Snowflake die give the boxes a touch of festive sparkle for the holiday season. I created a card to accompany the boxes, which can be filled with gifts, using the same die sets and the Sizzix Interchangeable Clear Stamps - Fancy Frame with Phrases.
Here's how to create these two projects using the Winter Wishes Collection:
Thanks so much for stopping by the Sizzix blog today. I hope you are inspired to try some non-traditional color combinations on your upcoming holiday projects!
