There’s sew much to love about our newest quilting dies! This awesome collection of dies has been making some heads turn, both on our blog and at the CHA Megashow in Anaheim this past week. From Baby Bibs and snowball fights to flower wheels and more, we’ve been Rocking The House with quilting fun and have no plans to stop any time soon. So grab some fabric and some friends. We’re going to show you some our favorite projects with our newest quilting dies!
We got a little bit of baby bib fever when our Baby Bib die came out…we couldn’t seem to stop making them! They’re so cute, so adorable, so easy to make and so versatile! We were thrilled when our Sizzix design team member Nicole Danksiewicz showed us how simple and “snappy” it was to make these baby necessities. All it took was a quick swap of fabric and some super awesome snaps to make a whole new bib to gift to a friend or family member!
When we first found out the names of Victoria Findlay Wolfe’s new dies, we were giggling with excitement. We were going to be literally Rocking The House with quilting fun, and Jessee Maloney showed us exactly how to do that! Between her solid choice of colors for fabric and her simple step-by-step instructions about how she made this awesome make, we were hooked even more on this fabulous new die from Victoria.
As the holidays approached and we found ourselves busy with holiday makes and parties, Karin Jordan created a fabulous table runner using the Flower Wheel die, giving it a fantastic wintery holiday look. We were amazed at how easily she was able to create snowflakes that were even larger than life, beautifully making a home décor piece that’s sure to grab plenty of attention.
We had sew much excitement at the Quilt Market Festival this last year… SEW much quilting amazingness surrounded us, and Kid Giddy’s Party Fox Softie amplified that excitement tenfold. Using her Fox die, Kerry Goulder (Kid Giddy) brought a new life to her softie line of characters, making us want to drop what we were doing and start sewing immediately! We love this Party Fox sew much!
We thought we were excited when our Anchor die came out, but Amanda Niederhauser proved to be WAY more excited than we even thought possible. She took us by surprise with an awesome holiday ornament tutorial using this anchor die. We were (and still are) enchanted by her enthusiasm and creativity to use this die for such a cute holiday decoration or present. We can’t wait to see what she makes next!
Missouri Star Quilt Co.’s Magic Circle die lives up to its name. It’s truly magic and magnificent! While this die creates a lovely pincushion that is so much fun to personalize with different swaps of fabric, it also creates a perfect little ball that can be used for an indoor snowball fight.
You may wonder to yourself, why is Sizzix concerned with indoor snowball fights?
Although it doesn't really snow in sunny Southern California, Kathy and Linda from our quilting department refused to let our Sizzix team miss out on a good old-fashioned snowball fight. Getting both Tim Holtz and Richele Christensen to have a snowball fight with some of our Sizzix team members, Linda and Kathy ensured that those visiting our Sizzix booth at the CHA Megashow would prove to be a flurry of unforgettable fun!
We love all of these projects using our Newest Quilting Dies! Have you made any projects with these awesome dies?
