Hi all! Tami Mayberry from Create It Simply here with you to share another quick and easy project that can be created using you Sizzix dies. This fun little note holder is a great way to share the love and can even hold a gift card if you so choose.
So, lets get started!
For this project I have used three Sizzix Bigz dies: Gift Card Holder #2, Kiss Mix and Love Labels. Each of these dies were used with the Sizzix Big Shot Plus die-cutting machine and a sandwich of a Standard Cutting Pad, followed by the die (cutting side up), paper or felt and the second Cutting Pad.
Begin by die-cutting Gift Card Holder #2 from crumb cake cardstock.
Notice how this creates a holder that is not only perfectly cut, but scored as well.
Attach double-sided adhesive to tabs of holder.
Die-cut front of holder from desired patterned paper. Note that the pattern should be face-down on the die.
Trim panel slightly smaller than holder front; adhere in place.
Die-cut band from crumb cake cardstock once again using the Gift Card Holder #2 die. You'll notice that I placed the small piece of cardstock I had left diagonally on the die. This is one reason I like using the larger based Big Shot Plus. It has enough space that the paper can be angled and allow me to use scraps like this.
Again, you have a die-cut piece that is perfectly scored. Fold along score lines and adhere tab. Slide onto holder and stamp sentiment using Crazy For You stamp set and real red ink.
For insert, die-cut insert using Gift Card Holder #2 die and circle tag using Love Labels die. Note that I used crumb cake for the sample in order to make it easier to view but for the main image I used whisper white cardstock.
Layer and adhere pieces together as shown above to create a tab that can be used to easily remove insert from holder.
Die-cut heart shape from red felt using Kiss Mix die. Then simply embellish finished holder by adding die-cut felt heart, jute string and pearls as shown.
And there you have it!!
