Quick Gift Card Set With Clear Stamps & Paper Pads!

Hello everyone! It is Anna-Karin here with a quick and easy gift card set tutorial, using the new Sizzix patterned paper pads and a set of clear stamps.

I made a set of six envelopes and cards in a gift box, to give as a gift to someone. You can easily fit at least ten envelopes and cards into the box and they are really quick to make since everything is die cut and then stamped in just a few steps. Did you know that Sizzix has come out with four pads of patterned papers? They are 6 x 12 in size, so they are perfect to use with your Big Shot or Vagabond and you don't have to cut them to size before die cutting, as you would with, for example, 12 x 12 papers. The papers are double-sided, which is great for many die cutting projects, such as this one.

These are the three paper pads that I used: Watercolors, Fox Tales and Geometrics. Pick papers where one side is less busy, so that the stamping and writing will be visible. Each pad has 48 double sided sheets, so you get a lot of paper.

I started by die cutting the envelopes, using Tim Holtz Envelope die. For some of the patterned papers you can just place the 6 x 12 paper on top and run it trough the machine, but for the ones that have, for examples, lines, I cut the paper as seen here. Put the paper on the die so that the pattern is lined up with the cutting lines and cut off the parts sticking out. Use this sandwich: Cutting Pad, die facing up, paper, second Cutting Pad.

Here you can see the result. I placed a small piece of tissue tape at one side on the die, to mark the top of the envelopes, since for some papers, such as with text, you'd want it facing the right way.

I die cut envelopes from six different papers. These are the patterned insides of the envelopes.

The cards were die cut with Tim's ATC & Corners die, and fit perfectly inside the envelopes. These are the more patterned sides of the cards.

The cards and envelopes were stamped with stamps from the You are Loved set, by Lindsey Serata.

Stamp the envelopes on the back - making sure not to place the stamps upside down.

The cards were stamped with the flower, arrow and heart stamps using a variety of Archival Inks. I left plenty of space for a handwritten message.

Glue a piece of patterned paper to Little Sizzles Mat Board and when the glue is dry, die cut Eileen Hull's Recipe Card Box. Use this sandwich: Extended Cutting Pad, die facing up, mat board with the patterned side facing down, second Extended Cutting Pad. As you can see, the die both cuts and scores the material, which is why it is important to place the patterned side down when die cutting. This gorgeous striped paper is from the Watercolor pad.

Assemble the envelopes and sand all edges to reveal some of the white core of the paper.

Stamp the box with a sentiment, arrows and the flower.

Assemble the box using a strong adhesive. I used Ranger's Wonder Tape. Punch three hearts from cream paper and glue to the box. Tie with a piece of twine.

I tied the bunch of envelopes, with the cards inside, with twine, but you could also just place them into the box.

As you can see, there is space for more envelopes and cards. I love the Recipe Card Box die. For more inspiration check out my Gelli Print Recipe Box Journal and Writing Recipe Box.

The envelopes are so cute and colorful. You can of course also use other stamps.

My favourite part of the envelopes is actually the patterned insides peaking out when you open them.

And the patterned side. I thought the two 'sketch' patterns would be fun to send to someone who likes adult coloring books, since they can be colored. They come from Fox Tales.

The box of gift cards will be a great gift for someone, or make it for yourself, since it is always good to have little cards on hand.

I hope you enjoyed this quick and easy project!

Happy crafting!
