Hey everyone, it's Hilary here today with some quick and easy Sea Notes Boardwalk Box. This is the perfect set to create an ocean inspired project. I decided to turn this little wave box into box that houses little notecards. Notecards to leave on a co-worker's desk, notes for "to-do" projects and and just to place a random "thank you" for someone who has made your day special. I hope you enjoy!

This little box is so easily created, it is literally assembled with one piece.  One die cut! That's it!  It really couldn't be easier to create such a cute little note box, (and how sweet is that little wave border on the bottom)?

I used nautical theme papers and a little cotton rope to tie into the beach theme and showcased Sharyn Sowell's new Sizzix dies, Box with Wave Border XL die, and Seashells & Starfish Bigz die.

The starfish in the center was made using distress cardstock, and layered together.

To create the Box with Wave Border, since it is a Bigz XL die, you will need your Big Shot, along with extended an Extended Cutting Pad and crease pad.  To create your cutting sandwich, lay an Extended Cutting Pad down on your Big Shot followed by the Box with Wave Border Sizzix Bigz XL die, (cutting side up), then lay your pattern paper on top of the die, and lastly, lay an Extended Crease Pad over the top and run this through your Big Shot.

Once you have your die cut, fold where the scored lines are and add a little adhesive to the sides if you'd like and voila!!  It's that easy!

For the Starfish center, using the Seashells & Starfish Bigz die, die cut the back along with the top of the starfish using two different coordinating colors of distress cardstock.  Lightly sand using a sanding block, and adhere the top diecut to the bottom. Your die cutting sandwich for a Bigz die is as follows:  Cutting Pad, followed by the Seashells & Starfish die, (cutting blades up), next your cardstock, followed by another Cutting Pad.  Run through your Big Shot.

To finish, I simply cut white cardstock to the desired size to fit the box, stamped a little sentiment in the corner, and adhered a starfish diecut to each little notecard.

This project is super-fun, so easy and just a sweet as can be.  I hope I've inspired you to create one for yourself, or to gift one away.

Have an awesome day!
