Hi, Makers! Katelyn Lizardi here!
Sending and receiving cards in the mail is one of my favorite things, it’s like opening a gift on Christmas morning. But rarely do I make time to do it... there’s always something to keep me from it. Either I don’t know what to write, or I don’t have the time or the creative energy. So as a solution, I decided to design a book of easy to make colorable notecards. These fun, everyday themed coloring cards turned into my book, “Coloring Sendables, Just for You” by Sizzix. This book has all you need to create the perfect little note saying you care… just color away, pop it in the mail and share the love.
Since it’s so easy to do, I thought I’d walk through the steps of how to use my “Coloring Sendables.” In the book are two design options, 3D pop-up cards or blank cards. First I’ll show you how to make the 3D pop-up cards.
Pick a card design and cut it out of the book…
Color it in…
Cut on the solid gray linen using an X-Acto blade and a cutting mat.
Fold at the dotted lines…
Back the inside of your card with your choice of color paper.
And voilà, there you have it!
For the traditional blank cards, the process is even easier. First, cut out the card.
Color in and cut out a sentiment to place on the inside of your card.
Just for fun, I added a bow to the spine for a special finishing touch.
As a special freebie, I’ve included a free custom envelope template perfectly sized to fit your Coloring Sendables card available for download at www.sizzix.com/envelope_downloadables
Now you have everything you need to create a beautiful, handmade card for any occasion!
