Good Morning!! Tami Mayberry from Create it Simply here with you for today's Sizzix Inspiration to share one of my latest cards using some of the newest dies released by Sizzix at CHA Winter 2015.
I began by forming a card from kraft cardstock. I then cut two panels slightly smaller than the card front from both navy and dark red floral patterned papers. I used my Sizzix Thinlits Mixed Media die set along with Extended Magnetic Platform to cut a pattern from the navy paper. Do this by creating a sandwich of the Magnetic Platform, a Standard Cutting Pad, navy paper, the Mixed Media die (cutting side down), and, finally, the second Cutting Pad. Once finished, I layered the die-cut panel over the patterned panel and adhered them to the card front. I then wrapped the card front with twine and tied in a bow.
For the coffee cup I die-cut the Sizzix Bigz Die Fresh Brewed shapes from cardstock and patterned papers. To do this I began with the a Standard Cutting Pad, followed by the Fresh Brewed die (cutting side up), desired paper and the second Cutting Pad. I added the letter "E" using the Thinlits 1" Tall Alphanumeric and "friend" using the Thinlits die set Handwritten Love. For both of these sets I used the same die-cutting sandwich as the Mixed Media panel: Magnetic Platform, a Standard Cutting Pad, desired patterned papers, desired Thinlits die (cutting side down), then the second Cutting Pad. I inked and layered these pieces together as shown and attached the finished pieces to the card front using 3D foam squares.
And there you have it! An all-occasion card perfect for any coffee loving friend!
