Hey friends, Adrianne here for today's Sizzix Inspiration. I'm really excited by some of the new Where Women Cook dies coming out this month. I love giving food gifts, and these dies are perfect for serving up comfort foods and beverages. Best of all - some of them are adorable all on their own, with little to no embellishment, which is an important quality to me when we're talking about disposable packaging.
Of course, you can let your imagination go crazy. That's the beauty of paper crafting, right? But a few flat-backed pearls and some light distressing is all I added to these great die cut shapes. I can just imagine making a co-worker's day if you do a Secret Santa exchange, by leaving a cake pop or two, and a matching tea bag set.
The Cake Pop boxes are a perfect way to transport cake pops - which can be really tricky, otherwise! Personalize them for your friends by labeling with their names, or just set them out as-is for a pop of color in your holiday decor.
And this time of year, cookie swaps are so popular. If you're hosting one, you can make up these ultra-fast, ultra-easy miniature Recipe Boxes for your guests to swap recipes! I just sanded mine lightly for a more vintage look, and added a few self-adhesive flat-backed pearls. The die set even includes pretty recipe cards with staggered tabs. You'd be the hero hostess!
Like most people, I enjoy first and foremost enjoying time with my family and friends, but also I love to give simple gifts that show them that they're special to me. This Tea Bag Box & Accessories die perfect for simple and thoughtful gifts - with so little "extra" you need to do!
I die cut all the designs you see here out of just 5 sheets of Tim Holtz Kraft Core cardstock (from the Nostalgic Collection). Just layer one Cutting Pad, your die and paper, and a Crease Pad, and roll your sandwich through your Big Shot, BIGkick, or Vagabond machine. Then a little folding and some quick-dry glue gets you an instant way to dress up something small - a recipe, a hot mug of tea, or a cake or marshmallow pop. Tiny gifts can make a big impact!
