Hi there! It's Laura here with some Sizzix inspiration for you!
I wanted to share a quick card that can be made in under 5 minutes with the new Tim Holtz Pumpkin Parts Bigz die. At first when I saw this die I thought of all of the great Halloween crafts I could make with it, but then I quickly realized that this die is perfect for Thanksgiving too!
Although I love that fact that this die can be layered and the different parts stacked, I decided to keep it simple for this card. I made a Sizzix sandwich with a cutting pad on the bottom, the die above that face up, some gold glitter paper face down, and then the other cutting pad on top. I rolled it all through the machine, and out came a perfectly sparkly gold pumpkin.
Next I got out my new Sizzix Thinlits Alphanumeric Die Set (which is SO awesome, and is a great deal for only $19.99!), and found the letters for the words "GIVE THANKS." I stacked my Magnetic Platform, a cutting pad, my gold glitter pumpkin (glitter side up), and arranged the letters on top of my pumpkin where I wanted them. I then topped off my stack with another cutting pad, then ran it all through my Big Shot.
Now that my pumpkin had words die cut through it, I die cut a plain piece of white card stock using the Pumpkin Parts die again, and glued it to the back of my glitter pumpkin.
Lastly I glued the pumpkin to the front center of a navy and white striped piece of card stock from DCWV cut into a card.
I love the non-traditional Thanksgiving colors of gold, navy, and white together. Plus, you can never go wrong with some gold sparkle, right?!
