Sizzix Inspiration | Tea Time by Kylie Jenkins

Hi! This is Kylie from Made by a Princess.  Last weekend I hosted a Downton Abbey "Baby is Brewing" tea party for my friend Jen Rehberg of Oh For Cake's Sake.  Today I am sharing the some Sizzix Inspiration from Eileen Hull's "Where Women Create" brand new collection.

The Make It 3-D Box and Sugar Bowl & Creamer dies made the sweetest little favor box to send scones home in.  I found this gold and cream damask scrapbook paper at Michael's and had intended on using it for Thanksgiving but it matched the World Market Downton Abbey set perfectly I just had to use it.  I embellished each piece with pearl stickers and flowers, also from Michael's.

In the Cookie Box I put our two tea choices, English Rose and Butler's Pantry Blend.  The tea bags were actually the perfect size and would make a lovely little gift for a tea lover.

Since it was a baby shower I turned the Recipe Cards and Labels into "Wishes for Baby" and the Recipe Card Box into a keepsake box for Jen to keep the wishes in.  All of the pieces were embellished with the same pearl stickers and fabric flowers.

All of these brand new dies are called Scoreboards and they are really unique. You can create really sturdy boxes using Sizzix Matboards and then cover in your favorite scrapbook papers.  Using the sandwich method, I placed one Extended Cutting Pad on the bottom, then the die, then the Matboard, and finally the second Extended Cutting Pad.  Once cut, you have a perfectly cut and scored pieces.  Once all my boards were cut I went back and cut all my scrapbook paper pieces. Remember to turn some of your paper on the reverse side depending on which piece you are going to cover.  Using my Scotch Quick Dry glue, I glued all my pieces to the boards and let dry overnight.  I used my glue gun to adhere pieces together making sure to hold each scored section down until dry.

I am so happy with the way these turned out!  The mommy-to-be loved all of the extra touches and is looking forward to being able to craft with her own little girl.

Happy Crafting!
