Hello, Friends! It's Monika here from Life With Lovebugs. I've been creating projects and decorating my house for Winter over these last few weeks, but I wanted to take a break from the snowflakes and snowmen. So my daughter and I started talking about Valentine's Day. Every year she had wanted to make her own valentines and this year is no exception. I started putting together a few ideas while she's been at school this week and I think she's going to love what I came up with!
I made these envelopes using the Sizzix Bigz L Fancy Pocket Die and then added a few embellishments as an example for her because I'm sure she will want to decorate them herself. Once she is done she can write out cards for her classmate and slip them inside, she always like to draw her own cards. When making your envelopes, be sure to use the Premium Crease Pad. The first envelope I made, I forgot to use it and couldn't see the fold lines.
For the little hearts I used the Sizzix Thinlits Die Set Love, the heart plate also works great if you want to make heart confetti, much easier than using a heart punch.
Then I used the Sizzix Framelits Die Set Hearts and the Sizzix Thinlits Die Set I Heart This to make the heart and arrows. Don't forget to use your Magnetic Platform to keep all of these metal pieces in place when you're cutting!
Lastly, I grabbed some ribbon and string to tie around the envelopes just to add some dimension.
I think I like the red envelope the best, although I'm sure my daughter will like the white envelope best.
Which one is your favorite?
