The Sizzix Mini Pizza Box die makes such a fun gift box, and it really is a great size for packaging all sorts of gifts and treats. Love that you could as easily fill it with jewelry as you could a cookie, for a big gift, or a small gift, or the perfect anytime gift. And, it also fits gift cards, making this one seriously useful container.
Better yet, the Mini Pizza Box die is super easy to put together from only a half sheet of 12x12 paper. I recommend using double-sided patterned paper so that the inside of the box is as pretty as the outside. For die cutting with XL dies, use this Sizzix die cutting sandwich for dies that will crease where you need to fold: Extended Cutting Pad, die (cutting side up), paper or material to be cut, Extended Premium Crease Pad.
To assemble the box, simply crease along all the fold lines, apply a dot of strong glue or adhesive to the side tabs and adhere both the top and bottom lids of the box.
I added a strip of contrasting patterned paper to the lid, then wrapped my box in pretty trim. A quick tag, die cut using the Sizzix Fancy Base with Layering Shapes Thinlits die set by Jen Long, and layered with a few embellishments, adds the finishing touch. For die cutting with Thinlits, we recommend using the Magnetic Platform and this Sizzix die cutting sandwich: Magnetic Platform, Standard Cutting Pad, paper, Thinlits die (cutting side down), Standard Cutting Pad.
