Hello everyone! Leica here to share a little Sizzix Tutorial with you. A project that would be perfect for a wedding or party!
These boxes are intended for cake pops, BUT they can be easily decorated different to become favour boxes for candies, chocolates and more.
First you need this fantastic die Sizzix Bigz L Die Box, Cake Pop.To die cut this die in the Sizzix Big Shot sandwich it with your material between one Standard Cutting Pad and one Premium Crease Pad, Standard. For the decorations you will need these dies: Sizzix Sizzlits Decorative Strip Die Tattered Flower Garland, Sizzix Sizzlits Decorative Strip Die Mini Paper Rosettes (2 Sizes) and Sizzix Sizzlits Decorative Strip Die Bow-Tied. When cutting these dies in the Big Shot all you need is a pair of Decorative Strip Cutting Pads and your Extended Multipurpose Platform open to Tab 1. Make a sandwich with your die and paper between the cutting pads on top of the platform and roll them through your Sizzix Big Shot machine.
This is what they will look like after you cut them.
Since I am putting a chocolate into the boxes, I put a plastic covering on the inside. I just adhered it with a glue gun.
At the score lines, bend the box in.
Start gluing together the box. I glue the side first, then fold in the bottom. (I glue the bottom shut too).
This is what they will look like before decorations.
Now take the pleated strips you die cut for the flowers. Bend them at their perforations till you have created an accordion fold on the entire strip. Once completed glue the ends together.
I adhered the blue rosette flower on the box, then started layering the flower garlands. I started with the biggest flower, and layered smaller ones on top to create height, finished it off with a pearl in the middle. I glued it to the box first so it wouldn't keep "popping" up on me.
Thanks for looking! Love for you to check out my blog if you have a minute: www.leicaforrest.com.
