As you can see the bunting with the word Beautiful is across the front of the card and what's wonderful is you can add any title you like, even the name of the person the card is intended for. How cool is that?

I totally LOVE  Word Block Sizzix Thinlits and you will find a collection pack to suit every occasion. For today's card I've use the word Beautiful from the Adventure set.

The layered butterflies are Sizzix Thinlits Winged Beauties by Prima.

One of the most useful innovation to come out of CHA2015 is the amazing Precision Base Plate which is used with the Magnetic Platform. It replaces ONE Cutting Pad and the sandwich you will have is: on your Big Shot the Standard Magnetic Platform, followed by the Precision Base Plate the metal side facing up, the paper, followed by the Thinlits with the cutting side facing down, and finally the regular Cutting Pad.

Lay the Precision Base Plate on the Magnetic Platform and you can see the metal side is face-up. Place the gold foil facing up and the Thinlits die with the cutting side facing down on the foil. Finally lay the Standard Cutting Pad on top and roll through your Big Shot.

When you use the Precision Base Plate the letters have crisp, clean edges and peel off the die very easily.

I've used only the letters and saved the negative for another project. I adhered the letters to a cardstock.

Trim off the letters into small blocks with ribbon ends.

Add a foam dot under each letter to lift them off the white base cardstock and stick the word into a gentle curve.

Trim off the white cardstock and you have this cute bunting. Imagine this on cards, layouts and so many other projects !

Next I die cut a the Tiny Tattered Florals. This is a wonderful Thinlits set as it will complement many of the Alterations dies and if you are a tag maker, the sizes of the blooms are perfect for tags ! The package comes with a Quilling tool which means it saves you going out to buy one.

To match the tiny florals I decided to add a layered Winged Beauties butterfly in pale pink patterned paper and vellum.

I die cut in Gold Foil a scallop strip with the Doodlebug Sizzlits Decorative Strip Die Eyelet Lace and Scallops.

To use a Sizzlits Decorative strip. your sandwich would be: the Extended Multipurpose Platform on Tab 1, followed by one Decorative Strip Cutting Pad, the Sizzlits facing up, then the paper and followed by the other Decorative Strip Cutting Pad. Send this through your Sizzix Big Shot.

Now all you need to do is assemble the card!

The finished size is 6 inches on the top and the height 5 inches. Add a base patterned paper on white cardstock, the Beautiful bunting, then the Gold Foil scallop strip and the florals.  Additional accents of sequins give a sparkly fun look, and finally the butterfly.

I love how pretty this card turned out, and it's perfect for Mother's Day! Now you can make your own custom card for your mom or that special person.  Thank you for dropping by, happy card making !
