Hi there! Michelle here from Michelle's Party Plan-It with a Sizzix Tutorial for a Steampunk Scrapbook page. I recently celebrated my 39th birthday with a "Stopping Time...Forever 39" steampunk themed party and wanted to memorialize the big day by incorporating my favorite photos and die cuts on a page for my scrapbook album.
For my page, I chose gear patterned 12x12 paper and travel themed journal sheets to be used as photo mats. Using the Postage Stamp Frame Die, I die cut two postage stamps from the journal sheets by sandwiching the die between two standard cutting pads. Once cut, I adhered them on the page with my son's photo.
Using the Vintage Alarm Clock & Camera Movers & Shapers set, I die cut the clock and camera out of glitter card stock. To use Movers and Shapers dies, a base tray and two standard cutting pads are needed to make a sandwich. Once cut, I added a metal brad and a gear to the camera for embellishment.
I then die cut the clock and clock hands out of black glitter card stock using the Weathered Clock die and added a copper brad.
To add more detail, I cut a black glitter chandelier using the Chandelier Bigz Die. I cut it in half and added gold glitter accents with glue then adhered it to the top of the page.
For the second photo of my son, I used another travel journal page as a photo mat and added several gears using the Gadget Gears Bigz die.
Thank you for visiting and Happy Crafting!
