Hello! Leica here with you today with a fun and quick Halloween scrapbook page to share.
Halloween is my most favourite time of year to scrapbook! There really is no limit to your imagination. I create banners and signs and potions and all sorts of creepy things. But I find when it comes to my Halloween layouts I tend to stick most of the time to traditional colours; orange, black & purple. Only when I scrap my daughter in her girly innocent costumes do I tend to do other colours. I think I like people knowing instantly that it is a Halloween layout, not just another round of dressup.
So of course for this spooky layout I broke out a few different dies; Sizzix Bigz Die - Rickety House, Sizzix Bigz Die - Candlelight Fright, Sizzix Bigz Die - Branch Tree, and Sizzix On the Edge Die - Pennants. I like keeping the die images mostly black. But to make them a little spooky looking I edged the house with distress crackle paint. I like the look of peeling paint.
I raised the spider with 3D Foam squares, it seems to cast a little shadow on the layout. LOVE that. I didn't feel the need to do anything to the spider. It just seemed to fit since the boys were both Spidermen.
The tree layered over the pennant background, kind of gives the look of a fence.
Thanks for looking, This was a very quick and easy layout. The Dies really speak for themselves without me having to do anything to them.
