Hi! Jeanne here today with Sizzix tutorial for a sweet gift packaging idea!
This little box from Eileen Hull's Cherished collection is so adorable and easy to make! I used the largest sized block on the658984 Sizzix ScoreBoards XL Die - Blocks/Cubes, 3-D for this project. There are two smaller boxes on the same die. This is such a great die for not only packaging but pretty cubes and other altered projects.
I started out but adhering patterned paper (I used a liquid glue, but spray glue would work great too) to the 656492 Sizzix Little Sizzles - 6" x 13" Mat Board. I cut the piece in half (so they were 3" wide)for easy placement over the part of the die I wanted to cut and then cut with my 657900 Sizzix Big Shot Machine.
This is what they will look like after they are cut. Notice they are already scored and ready to assemble!
Add some strong tape (or glue) to the flaps on one of the pieces and assemble.
Tape or glue one more flap for the bottom and you have a sweet little box!
Die cut flowers (I used two for each size in two different patterns) 658053 Sizzix Bigz Die - Flower Layers w/Heart Petals with 657900 Sizzix Big Shot. Add a brad through the center holes on flowers to assemble.
Add ribbon around the box and tie in a bow off to one side. Add your flower. Use your fingers to bend and curl the feathers a bit to your liking.
Hope you enjoyed my project!!!
