Hey crafters, Nicole here today sharing some spring inspiration with this Eileen Hull Scoreboard XL Box, Recipe Card. With some ink, pretty spring paper and ink you can transform any project. I'll even take you through the steps for stenciling, inking and embossing Paper Leather.
I grabbed a few of my Eileen Hull dies and Tim Holtz Movers and Shapers Mini Bunny and Sized Ovals. I cut the recipe box using mat board and this pretty Watercolor Paper Pad. Perfect for spring and I love watercolor!
I glued the watercolor paper to the mat board recipe box and recipe card and label die. Then added a little ground espresso ink to the inside and exterior. It's fun to use your stamps in different ways. I did this by inking these Lindsey Serata stamps You are Loved with my ground espresso distress marker. It's a great way to change up your stamps and get the most out of them.
I stamped the stamps on the recipe card & label and also on the inside of the recipe card box. Here, I've used my distress marker on just the dots of the "with a Thankful Heart" stamp. Then stamped at random the edges.
Have you tried the new Sizzix Leather Paper yet? I'm still playing and so far I love how it feels, what it can do and how it handles what I throw at it. This time I tried the new distress crayons. I was so pleased with the outcome using my distress crayons, stencil and powder.
Once the leather paper is covered with the distress crayon remove some of it with a baby wipe and your stencils. It comes right off the leather. Because it has some moisture I added some iridescent embossing powder creating a shimmery pattern on the leather.
I accented with some lace ribbon on the bottom of the recipe card box then inked for a vintage feel. Then and added a few Tiny Tattered Floral flowers for a spring look.
Pull it all together for a fun gift set. You can tuck money in here, cookies, tea bags or gift cards. I love giving small gifts this way. I popped my bunny up with dimensional for added layering.
Using Eileen Hull Recipe Card & Label die inked up is perfect to write a note.
You can tuck the flap in behind the bunny oval or use a small round Velcro piece. Keeping your contents safe from falling out.
I hope you get some ideas for what you might want to tuck in the Recipe Box.
