Sweeten Up Your Accessories With This DIY Sugar Skull Keychain

Hi everyone, it’s Jess from Everyday Party Magazine.  Today I am sharing a fun Day of the Dead key chain.  It took me less than 10 minutes to make, and I just adore the way it turned out! We just spent the day at EPCOT with my two littler boys, and they were infatuated with the Day of the Dead decorations in Mexico.  I told them we could make our own Day of the Dead key rings for their backpack house keys at home.  They were super excited, and we all love the way the key rings turned out!

Aside from the Big Shot and the Cutting Pads, I used my Sizzix Bigz Die Day of the Dead Sugar Skull, Shrinky Dink Paper, sharpie markers, and a key ring.

Begin by cutting your Sugar Skull.  I cut it using the Sizzix Sandwich method, cutting pad, die, Shrinky Dink sheet, cutting pad, and rolled it through the Big Shot Machine.

Next, I decorated the sugar skull with my Sharpie markers.  Once it was decorated, I placed it on a cookie sheet and into the oven at 300* for 3 minutes.

I waited a few minutes for the sugar skull to cool off, and then I added the key ring.

I hope I have inspired you to create something fun!
