Hi, Michelle here from Michelle's Party Plan-It with a fun last minute Halloween craft. Have you seen the latest dies from Lynda Kanase? They are designed to be embellish Fujifilm® Instax® photographs but they are also great for party crafts! I love the Photo Banner set and when I saw it thought it would make the perfect quick Halloween Banner.
If you didn't know, Halloween is one of my favorite holidays for crafting. So many fun possibilities and the themes are endless! I usually find my self planning a party or two for the kiddos, but I also like to set up a little themed area in my office. This little banner is the perfect size for my book shelves!
Here's what you will need:
Other Materials Used:
- Halloween Themed Scrapbook Paper Pad
Starting with the Banner Thinlits, create a sandwich using the multipurpose platform on tab two. The sandwich for Thinlits is as follows; Multipurpose platform, cutting pad, paper, Thinlits and a second cutting pad. Next, pass it through the Big Shot by turning the handle.
The Thinlits includes slits for the inserts as well as holes for hanging each pennant. Super easy and convenient!
Most scrapbook paper pads include a page or two of tags which is perfect for this project. Cut out tags for the banner and trim them so they fit on the pennant.
Insert the corners of each tag into the slits, allowing the tag to puff out to give it dimension. You could alternatively trim the sides down even more if you want it to lay flat.
If you don't have tags, you can also simply add pieces of paper with embellishments instead.
Add twine and you have an instant banner with very little effort! Have Fujifilm® Instax® photographs? Add a few in the perfectly designed pennants!
What fun Halloween projects have you completed lately? I'd love to hear from you!
