Tim Holtz’s Paper Punches: A Crafting Necessity for Adding The Perfect Touch

Hi there, awesome crafters! We hope you had an amazing and fantastical holiday! Today, we have some pretty epic projects and inspiration to share with you using Tim Holtz's Paper Punches. As any crafter knows, embellishments can go a long way to getting that perfect look to your projects, be it cards, scrapbook layouts, mixed media collages, or even 3D crafts. Tim Holtz has once again designed some truly fabulous crafting necessities that are easy to use, easy to store and difficult to not need or want them all.

We love how Pete fantastically demonstrated and explained how truly awesome these Paper Punches are. From the variety of different materials that you can use with the punches, to the locking mechanism and soft grip handle, these Paper Punches are super user friendly- with the added bonus of being specifically designed so they will never pinch your hands! But enough about how the punches themselves are so incredible. Lets get into the cool things you can create using them!

This gorgeous Garden Canvas created by Aida, in honor of Singapore celebrating 50 years of independence. She perfectly used the Spiky Floral Paper Punch, the Tattered Flower Paper Punch, and the Laurel Paper Punch to add a garden affect to her craft project, layering the cut pieces to create some truly wonderful 3 dimensional flowers. We are in awe all over again seeing this beautiful canvas.

Such precious moments between brothers- moments that need to be kept in a beautiful scrapbook layout. Anna-Karin created this Textured Warm Layout with such precision and astounding beauty using the Daisy Flower Paper Punch, the Banner Paper Punch, the Tattered Flower Paper Punch, the Spiky Floral Paper Punch, and the Laurel Leaf Paper Punch. We were amazed by the detail that each of these individual embellishments has, and even now, we seem to see new details that we hadn't seen before. Love this scrapbook layout so much!

We can't help but smile when we see this Smile Butterfly Card. With its color combination, to the different looks of texture on the background, to the adorable butterfly embellishment, we are hands down huge fans of this card. Can you spot the Banner Paper Punch that was used? While it may be tucked away behind the butterfly, it adds just the perfect touch to the card.

Beautiful does not even begin to describe this Gift Box by Aida. The colors, the layering of embellishments, the jeweled brads, all of it, just absolutely breath taking. For this project, Aida used the Daisy Paper Punch and the Branch Paper Punch, creating a truly wonderful autumn touched foliage look. We are at a loss for words with this craft, its that amazing.

While these aren't all of the Paper Punches that Tim Holtz designed,  we hope that we've given you some inspiration for what these awesome punches can do and add to any of your crafting project. Check back for more projects as we will update this blog! What would you use these Paper Punches for?
