Hey, y'all! Bethany here today from Pitter & Glink to share a very easy to make "True Love" card with you that you can whip up in a very short amount of time. The "cherry on top" of the card is the darling 3D bow. It, along with the phrase, was made using some awesome dies from Tim Holtz.
To make this cute card, you'll need your Sizzix BIGkick, the Bigz XL Word Play Alphabet Die, the Bigz XL Block Talk Capital Alphabet Die, and the Sizzlits Bow-Tied Decorative Strip Die, along with a few other supplies that you can find listed at the end of this post.
The first step to this project is folding a piece of card stock to create a blank card. You can cut the card to whatever size you'd like your card to be. Then add a piece of scrapbook paper to the front of the card using adhesive.
Next, it's time to cut the letters to create the words on the front of the card. Place a piece of scrapbook paper patterned side down on top of the Bigz XL Block Talk Capital Alphabet Die. Sandwich that between a pair of Extended Size Cutting Pads and roll through your Sizzix BIGkick. Repeat the process using the Bigz XL Word Play Alphabet Die.
Once you have the letters cut, attach them to the front of the card using a glue stick.
Then it's time to create the adorable bow for the front of the card. Place a piece of scrapbook paper cut to size on top of the Sizzlit Bow-Tied Decorative Strip Die. Sandwich that between a pair of 13" Decorative Strip Cutting Pads. Place that sandwich on to of your Extended Multipurpose Platform on 1 and roll through your Sizzix BIGkick.
Use a pencil to shape the bow part of the paper and fold the ends of the paper out.
Using adhesive, fold the small paper strip around the middle of the folded bow.
Attach the bow to the card; then to complete the card, outline the letters using a marker.
I love that you can create a completely different card by switching up the color scheme of the scrapbook paper or by using a different phrase on the front.
No matter what colors you use or what phrase, a card like this is sure to bring a smile to a loved one's face.
Thanks for hanging out with me today for this easy Sizzix tutorial!
